Features:
This kit includes a ZP593 PCIe Peripheral Board and an ZC506 aluminum case. It is compatible with the latest Raspberry Pi 5 2GB/4GB/8GB/16GB board.
This expansion board adds one 2.5G network port and one M.2 Key-M interface for Raspberry Pi 5, which can meet your various needs for those who need to use Pi 5 as a router, gateway, firewall, and other network devices that need more than one network port.
Through the PCIe interface with PCIe Switch chip to expand into two PCIe interfaces and then through the RTL8125 chip to achieve the expansion of 2.5Gbps Ethernet and M.2 Key-M NVME.
Support M.2 NVMe SSD for expansion and storage, compatible with M.2 KEY-M NVMe SSD in 2230/2242/2260/2280 length. Support boot from SSD, and it needs Raspberry Pi official firmware, which is at least 2024.5.13.
The case is specifically designed for HAT expansion boards with 2.5G Ethernet Port (The two modules for 2.5G Ethernet ports are easily detachable). It is made of lightweight and durable aluminum material, which can offer excellent protection and heat dissipation for the Raspberry Pi 5 board and expansion board.
Besides PCIe to 2.5G Ethernet Port expansion board, the aluminum case also supports installation of various PCIe to M.2 NVMe SSD expansion boards, PoE HAT shields, and WiFi7 adapter boards.
Support installation of official Raspberry Pi 5 active cooler and other third-party cooling fans for heatsink.
Note:
Due to the poor PCIe compatibility of the oldest version of the Raspberry Pi 5, the Raspberry Pi 5 can not recognize some PCIe devices. Later purchased versions of the Raspberry Pi 5 have improved the compatibility issue and can basically recognize PCIe devices. As we use the PCIe Switch Chip, the oldest version of Raspberry Pi 5 can not recognise PCIe Switch Chip, but the subsequent Raspberry Pi 5 versions can recognise and use normally.
Since we have used the PCIe Switch Chip, there may be a slight drop in performance.
